Winter School Holidays in Geelong….. Geelong Living Plus has you covered…..if you are anything like me the thought of kids cooped up inside at home going stir crazy is enough to send me into a panic! So as a parent or grandparent of kids living in Geelong, I am sure you will be on the lookout for some fun activities to keep the kids entertained. Let us help please!

The Farmer’s Place

The Farmer’s Place in Freshwater Creek are offering a range of kids activities over the two week school holiday period. Activities on offer include Animal feeding, Woodland/ Fairy Gardens, Veggie gardening, Upcycle craft and Mud Pies and Dirt cakes. The Piano Bar

The Piano Bar in Geelong are holding a School Holiday Event showcasing the Magical World of Disney. There are four session times between 2 July and 4 July 2019. A family friendly show which will celebrate songs and music from some of the classic Disney movies including The Lion King, Frozen and The Little Mermaid. Ticket prices are $10 plus booking fee (Infants two and under are free). Bookings are required and tables can be reserved for groups upon request. Click here for further details.

Simply Happy Wellness Coaching

Simply Happy Wellness Coaching are offering a Bath Bliss Workshop on Wednesday 10 July 2019. Times are 10am -12 midday at Creative Geelong. Kids will have the opportunity to experience the world of science while making their own bath products from natural ingredients. The workshop is recommended for boys and girls aged 6 to 12 years. Children under 6 will need to be accompanied by an adult. Costs are $30 per child. Click here to make a booking.

Market Square Geelong

Market Square Geelong are holding a Mermaid Festival in the first week of the holidays (1 July until 5 July 2019). Most activities are free. Times are from 10am- 2pm. Fun activities for all mermaid lovers including dress ups and glitter, selfie opportunities and make your own pet jellyfish. There is a daily show featuring Mermaids and Pirates and an opportunity for pirate lovers to create their own Pirate telescope. The Kidz Kitchen

The Kidz Kitchen located in Geelong are holding a school holiday program. Cooking programs include all ingredients, recipes to take home and plenty of fun. Half day or full day classes can be booked. Suitable for a range of ages from 6 upwards. Some of the dishes on offer to prepare include Tortellini pasta class, Mystery Box challenge and Snowman Emoji Cookies. Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre

Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre are hosting a range of free school holiday activities over the two week period. Monday to Friday from 10am – 2pm, activities include the following: Paw Patrol Scooter Safety Zone, Mini Movie Game Zone, Shimmer and Shine Glamour Zone. There are also photo opportunities with your favourite Nickelodean characters including the Paw Patrol gang, Dora the Explorer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For further details click here.

Wild Child Yoga and Wellness

Wild Child Yoga and Wellness are conducting a range of classes for kids. These include: Macramé Crystal Keepers, Worry Beads and Mindful Jars and Watercolour Art. Classes are aimed at children aged 6- 11 years, three hours duration. Cost is $35 and they are being held at Eastern Hub Geelong. Bookings required. Click here to find out further details.

Narama Aboriginal Culture Centre

Narama Aboriginal Culture Centre are running a School Holiday program on Wednesday 3rd July 2019. The cost is $32 per child and is from 1:30- 4:30pm. Barrabool Maze Estate

Barrabool Maze Estate are open Thursday to Sunday from 10am- 4pm during the school holidays. This is a beautiful venue located in the Barrabool Hills with an amazing maze for the kids (and adults) to explore, as well as garden surroundings. There is also a café with a range of meals available to suit all tastes. Costs: Adults $12.50, children $8.50 and concession $10.00. For further information click here.

Queenscliff Harbour Winter Wonderland

Queenscliff Harbour has a Winter Wonderland with Ice Skating. From 28 June 2019 until 14 July 2019. There are a range of skating activities within a large marquee including a toboggan run. Skating sessions run for 45 minutes. For further information and bookings click here
